We’re Kat and Louis, a husband and wife team, happily married for over 15 years
Our business is based at our beautiful home, which we share with Louis’ parents, Suzy and Mark—alongside our much-loved alpacas, cats, and hens.
Our journey began from a place of deep personal loss. In 2015, Kat’s sister Verity tragically died by suicide. This heartbreaking experience opened our eyes to the growing gap in mental health support and inspired us to make a change. We re-evaluated our lives and made it our mission to create a calm, welcoming space where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

In 2020, we took the leap—moving house and county to find the perfect setting for our vision. That’s when the alpacas joined us, and our dream started to take shape. Our story was even featured on A Country Life for Half the Price with Kate Humble
.
Mental wellbeing and positive health are at the heart of everything we do. We offer a nature-based approach to support others, grounded in compassion, connection, and calm.
Both of us trained in Care Farming and Green Therapy, gaining the skills and tools to help people through nature and purposeful activity. Kat also completed training in Mindfulness and now leads regular mindfulness workshops.
We’re deeply passionate about the environment and sustainability. We use eco-friendly products, avoid chemicals in our garden and grounds, and actively encourage wildlife and conservation. Since moving in, we’ve planted hedgerows, grown native trees, and allowed parts of our garden to rewild—nurturing biodiversity. Kat is also proud to be queen of the compost heaps!
Community matters to us, too. We’re committed to supporting local people and businesses and love working in a way that builds connection and celebrates collaboration.
