Located close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border Events at Mill house Banham offers a beautiful space for you to enjoy. We offer a mix of fun days out with our alpaca experiences, but also educational days and activities such as mindfulness, craft and wellbeing days. Private venue hire is available for up to 10 people either for a celebration or maybe you are looking for somewhere to hold a meeting, craft or wellbeing event. This includes exclusive use of the cobhouse, grounds and time with our adorable and friendly alpacas. They love to be part of your day and are often happy to pose for photos. We are family run and our emphasis is on being environmental and sustainable.
We are also able to offer overnight accommodation for 2 in a fully self contained part of the house with its own bathroom.
We host regular alpaca experiences where you can spend time with our alpacas, prepare their meal, feed them and learn all about their behaviours. We only offer our experience in small groups so you have plenty of time to spend with these adorable animals in a relaxed environment. Afterwards you are welcome to enjoy our garden and have a cuppa. You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in our garden afterwards. Please note we are not a “trekking experience” but you are able take our alpacas on a short halter walk as part of the experience.
Happiness is at the heart of Mill house. We want to create a truly memorable experience for you and a place for you to relax. Our “hobbit” inspired cob house complete with Gandalf’s hat shaped fireplace is very quirky and a great place to unwind. It is also ideal for small craft workshops or as a meeting space. MEET OUR ALPACAS!
We have a herd of 6 alpacas, and 4 generations. Titch is great granny, Flo is grandma, and in 2022 her daughter Sweet Pea gave birth to our newest addition Pepè. Iggy Pop is the proud dad. Bo is our herd leader and definitely the naughtiest and greediest of the bunch! Like all animals they have their different personalities and likes and dislikes, they are super fun to watch. Alpacas are very calming to be around and make delightful humming noises when they are happy or chatting. You will find your stress levels melting away in their company. We look forward to welcoming you and so do they!
